I have never seen a bald eagle up close, let alone multitudes. But after a night staying up late and shooting astrophotography until 3 AM, the night blended into a morning of chasing down eagles at sunrise. I recently acquired a 150-600mm lens, which has opened up a world of opportunity for wildlife photography for me.
This is not something I have ever done before, but my talented friend has quite the eagle eye, literally! He can spot these things from long distances and point out their trilling song. These photos capture 6 different eagles that we found, not including all the ones that got away! It's no wonder these birds are such a symbol in our country. This was the perfect way to spend Memorial Day morning. It was thrilling and so much fun.
