Some of my favorite photos are those that require little to no planning. I had no idea when I woke up that morning that I would go to Burney Falls, but that's where my camera and I felt pulled to in the early hours of the day. The timing was just right to catch the warm light pouring over the falls simultaneously with the cold water.
I can't believe I've never been to this place. The falls are much more impressive in person than in the photos I've seen. I had the entire morning to fiddle around and get soaked in the mist. I would have loved to have taken even longer exposures, but my Tamron 15-30 does not yet have an efficient way to mount an ND filter. One day.
